Dubbed an entitled idiot, this pickup driver towing a trailer forced his way in front of stopped interchange ramp traffic.

North Carolinian and Redditor /u/SprinkerlerMan shared headshaking dashcam footage from US-23 in Asheville from earlier last week (Nov 15, 2024) to the /r/IdiotsinCars subreddit showing a Chevrolet Silverado driver towing a trailer showing off his entitlement by dangerously driving over a gore point to cut slowed interchange traffic.

Check out his dashcam footage below.

Asheville is full of entitled idiots. [OC]

The incident happened on US-23 in Asheville at the US-23 interchange towards I-40W, I-240W, I-26E, and 74-AW (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As his dashcam footage shows, OP is part of a line of vehicles all trying to take this US-23 interchange ramp.

Suddenly, a driver in a white Silverado towing a trailer decides he’s too good to slot behind everyone else and attempts to cut traffic by driving across the gore point.

The gore point in question.

As pointed out by another Redditor, they’re coming from the far left lane, too.

And, what’s even more crazy is he’s trying to squeeze between OP in a pickup and another driver in a pickup towing a trailer in front of OP.

OP is having none of this, lays on his horn, and holds his ground, not letting the cutter in.

The cutter gets his way, but not in front of OP, and slots behind him.

In North Carolina, failure to obey a Traffic Control Device carries two points on your record and you are subject to a fine up to $150.

“Bad enough to do it in a normal car but this dude did it in a truck + trailer 💀,” /u/IriusRS commented.

“Coming from the far left lane. Trailer. No Turn Signal. Impressive that the white truck has made it this far in life.,” /u/Rammid pointed out.

“My dad did exactly this when a truck cut him off. The guy pulled up next to him at a stoplight and pointed a gun at him. He then left and blew a red after going over the shoulder and grass. ALSO in Asheville. While being technically in the right, you should strongly consider more defensive driving. You never know if you’ll get the lunatic who might actually pull the trigger,” /u/Cardboardoge cautioned.

What OP did is arguably commendable but, as /u/Cardboardoge points out, road rage can unfortunately rear its ugly head onto those that mete out justice.

Regardless, what that Silverado driver did is dangerous and illegal.

Hopefully, they get their comeuppance before their actions adversely affect innocent motorists.
