In an apperent rush to go absolutely nowhere.
McLean County commuter and Redditor /u/NitroMen23 shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier last week (Oct 28, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing the most impatient driver in the world getting upset waiting 10 seconds at this intersection, only to get stuck at the next light.
Check out his tantrum play out in the embedded video below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
[oc] This guy cut around me from a stop sign and flipped me off yesterday, no idea why he was so mad or what is wrong with him but he’s definitely an idiot!

The incident happened beginning at the intersection of Greenbriar and Shepard (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP drives by the local shopping center on the way to the aforementioned intersection.
As he passes the driveway to Menard’s and Sam’s Club, a driver can be seen exiting the driveway in a black truck, practically coming to an emergency stop to avoid t-boning OP as he passes.
OP arrives at Greenbriar and Shepard and, for 10 seconds, chooses the right moment to turn left.
By that time, the driver in the black truck is breathing down OP’s neck, wanting to turn, too.
Some in the comments argue they took too long; however, there is no law against being too cautious.
Upset at waiting for 1/6th of an entire minute, the driver in the black truck undercuts OP on the left before moving into the left turn lane.
With traffic in that lane with a red, OP manages to pass them with the road raging driver supposedly giving OP the middle finger as he passed.
“By swinging into the second-nearest lane, you disrupted his plan to punish you for being too slow. He wanted to swing by on the left, but you made him pass on the right. In his mind, you nearly caused an accident by not following the rule that he intended to break,” one of the top comments from /u/HikerDave57 reads.
“Look how much time was saved! Got to sit at the red light 2seconds longer,” /u/Dyrogitory added.
In Illinois, aggressively cutting off another driver could be charged under the statute for reckless driving (625 ILCS 5/11‑503), which applies when someone drives with “a willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property.” (FindLaw Codes)
If convicted of standard reckless driving, the offense is a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail and fines up to $2,500; involvement of serious injury can elevate it to a felony. (Driving Laws)
