This driver was caught on dashcam in the early evening, driving the wrong way down Dixon Lane.

Denton County-area driver and Redditor /u/Zacharydunn60 shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier at the end of January (Jan 29, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a careless driver not realizing they’re headed the wrong way down this not-so-busy Flower Mound street.

Check out the dashcam footage below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened along the 2800 block of Dixon Lane (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is headed westbound down Dixon Lane and just passed Whyburn Dr.

Suddenly, the bright, white headlights of an oncoming car can be seen approaching and driving past OP in the leftmost lane.

While dimly lit by the surrounding buildings and with no street lamps, the lane markings and signage of Dixon St. are relatively easy to navigate.

This looks like a case of a driver not paying attention.

Back in January, I ran into a car driving the wrong way. It was absolutely ridiculous. Luckily, neither of us was going too fast, and I managed to change lanes in time. I don’t even want to think about what could’ve happened otherwise,” OP captioned his video.

“One of the reasons I only drive at night when I absolutely have to,” one of the top comments from /u/KinderEggLaunderer reads.

“Glad you were very attentive. That’s a death accident waiting to happen,” /u/PNWMike62 added.

In Texas, driving the wrong way on a roadway is usually cited under Texas Transportation Code §545.051 (driving on the right side of the roadway). It’s typically a Class C misdemeanor, carrying a fine up to about $200 plus court costs, which often totals around $250–$330 depending on the court. The violation can add 2 points to a driver’s record, or 3 points if it causes a crash.
