It’s big, black, and ready to tear you a new one.
If you’re thinking about speeding in Beverley Hills, Calif, you’d better think twice and at least look behind your rearview mirror. According to FB_Zach and his Instagram post from earlier this weekend (July 27,2018) he caught an unmarked Dodge Charger speeding down city streets with full Code 3 sirens and flashing strobes front and back. Check out his post and a video from the scene below.
At first glance, this unassuming black car looks like any normal Dodge Charger, but if you look at it for more than a couple of seconds, it’s clear this is a bonafide police vehicle. The dead giveaways include those two spotlights on either side, the two communication pod antennas on the back of the roof, the CA exempt license plates, the obvious sirens on the front windshield, back window, and in the grilles and those police spec hubcaps from the side. (Now that I’m typing that out, these cars seem a bit more obvious.)
I’m not sure what emergency this particular unmarked Dodge Charger was responding to but presumably, it was very important going at those speeds in dicey looking traffic.
Although Police package Dodge Chargers could be had with 5.7L Hemi V8’s, if I had to guess, this probably has the more common 3.5L Chrysler EGG V6 under the hood. Either way, these unmarked cars are no slouches.
What’s really sinister looking about this particular Dodge Charger is its all-black everything. When night falls, this will be a speeders worst nightmare, for sure as you’ll never see this Charger until it’s too late!
So, if you’re puttering along in the 90210 area, you’d better think twice before putting the pedal to the metal as Beverly Hills PD will be right behind you with its reds and blues in your rearview.
