Nissan has a strong truck lineup for North America with offerings for close to every single demographic that you can think of. Working man? Here’s the Nissan Titan. Family? Why not try their Frontier with the extra cab. The list goes on and on.

Hard to believe but it’s been exactly one year since the Nissan Kicks dropped at the L.A. Auto Show before going on sale in May this year. According to Nissan in their sales reportthe Nissan Kicks is slowly becoming of their fastest selling vehicles with Nissan moving 3,264 Kicks in October alone.

Built off the same platform as the Nissan Versa Note, the Kick’s tale of the tape isn’t all that noteworthy but should get the job done, whatever you throw at it. Under the hood is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that makes just 125 HP and 115 lb-ft. But, in something that weighs 2,672 pounds, which is absolutely lightweight for this class, you aren’t moving much, that is, until you fully utilize its max five seats.

Notable is the Kicks available 25.3 cu. ft. of cargo area, larger than its competitors and much more than the 14.9 cu. ft. found in the Nissan Versa Sedan or 18.8 cu. ft in the Versa Note.

Nissan was sure to point out all the available exterior color combos to be had and its bevy of standard safety tech, which is par for the course for its class.

So, the 2019 Nissan Kicks is here, slightly more expensive, but still, a value as it ever was.
