With its rear dump in the air, the dump truck presumably drove into the sign and got stuck.

A once-in-a-lifetime scene is playing out in the wee hours of the morning in Arizona. According to Arizona’s Department of Transportation, calls started coming in informing the office that a dump truck was literally stuck on a freeway sign on AZ-202 outside of Laveen Village. A quick check of the traffic cams revealed that some poor dump truck driver hit the freeway with his hydraulic dump still in the air.

Check out a handful of tweets with images from traffic cams showing the unfortunate but amusing sight below.

In the photos we can see a dump truck’s load shifted nearly 90-degrees with its chassis as the force driving forward shifted the entire bed beyond its normal operating angle.

Arizona police can be seen doing there best to keep the flow of traffic moving along. With at least one or two lanes shut down and an unusual sight, there are bound to be rubberneckers making their morning commute.

An ABC Chopper cam provided footage of the stuck dump truck for close to an hour before leaving after no new developments.

And here’s the location on Google Maps.

The local tow team complete with heavy duty rotators will have to be brought in to extract this dump truck from the sign. Armed with special booms and rotating arms, tow truck teams have the capabilities to lift this truck and move it out of the way.

The freeway sign, probably a total write-off.

Hopefully, this driver’s learned his lesson and his boss isn’t too harsh on him.
