This red light runner on Manchester Rd. stopped mid-intersection. Almost gets t-boned by dashcam owner.

Missourian and Redditor /u/TrevorAWright shared head-shaking dashcam footage from Manchester, MO from earlier last week (Oct 24,2024) showing a red light runner aborting mid-intersection, almost causing OP to t-bone them at full speed.

Check out his dashcam footage below.

[OC] They thought they could run the red light since no one was coming, except me.

The incident happened at the intersection of Route 100 and Highlands Blvd Dr (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As his dashcam footage shows, he’s driving on Manchester Road approaching the intersection with Highlands Blvd Dr.

Suddenly, a driver in a Honda CR-V making a left turn onto Highlands Blvd Dr. decides to run the red light and go despite cross traffic with the right of way

OP spots the red arrow runner at the nick of time and makes the split-second decision to swerve to the left, out of the CR-V’s way.

Almost about to get T-boned, the driver in the CR-V stops mid-intersection like a deer in the headlights.

OP avoids T-boning the CR-V.

“Stopping in the middle of the intersection of the red light that you just ran is wild 😭,” /u/FartHead1027 comments.

“They ran the light only to freeze in the intersection like an idiot deer trying to cross the road,” /u/GuildensternLives added.

“Nice maneuver to avoid the crash. I had to do the same, except going into the empty oncoming lane. A**hat in a pickup was determined to make the left turn riding the bumper of the box truck he was behind. Of course, he couldn’t see any oncoming traffic that had the green light. Box truck cleared the turn easily, but the pickup was in the middle of the intersection before either he or I could see the other,” /u/Jack3489 concurs.

According to Ozarks DWI, running a red light in Missouri is a Class C Mideamonor, and the driver is subject to a fine of up to $100 and one point on your record.

Hopefully, that near scare is a warning for that driver to not be so reckless.
