A red light runner yelled at this dashcam owner as she was in the middle of her illegal turn.

Carson commuter and Redditor /u/IAmDenisLara shared headshaking dashcam footage from in front of SouthBay Pavilion from earlier last week (Feb 3, 2025) showing an incompetent driver getting mad at them for not allowing them to complete running a red light.

The incident happened at the intersection of Avalon Blvd and SouthBay Pavilion (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam footage shows, OP is waiting for the green to go at the aforementioned intersection.

Vehicles can be seen turning in front of them.

A driver in a white Honda Accord can be seen approaching the intersection with a yellow and, with no signs of slowing, clearly enters said intersection against a red light.

OP drives forward and, without stopping to accommodate the red light runner, keeps going, stopping them from completing their turn.

For the record, her plates read 9MUC461.

Keen eyes will notice a pedestrian stepping out into the crosswalk.

“She was yelling at me (the white car driver,” OP clarified.

“When I saw her reaction I thought, “Did I f*** up?” So I downloaded the video as soon as I could.”

“You probably stopped her from hitting the pedestrian to the right,” /u/duck_duck_zombie pointed out.

“OMG, you’re right. I saved that guy,!” OP replied.

“People are absolutely deranged when it comes to left turn traffic lights. Like 5 cars will go after it turns red, and they just act like they’re oblivious,” /u/internetUser0001 commented.

Violators running a red light in California are subject to a $35 base fine which goes well over $100 after fees and one point on their driving record.
