Every time this driver pulled out after brake-checking, he’d slot in the fast lane and brake-check the same driver…again.

I-75 commuter and Redditor /u/YouSeeJP shared infuriating dashcam footage from Fort Meyers from earlier this week (Mar 26, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a road-raging driver slam on his brakes and brake-check another driver three times in the span of a minute.

Check out this extreme case of road rage and the Reddit thread in the GIF video embedded below.

The incident happened on a stretch of I-75 just after Exit 136 onto Hodges University Edison Mall (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As OP’s dashcam footage shows, he’s driving in Lane #2 of I-75.

Much of I-75 has a 70 MPH speed limit making it one of the fastest interstates in the United States with drivers blowing past at at least 10 MPH above the posted limit.

Case in point: this bizarre scene.

A drier in a VW Atlass crossover passes OP going at least 80.

Suddenly, a driver in a newer Kia Sportage blows by the VW and OP in a bid to overtake the “slow-moving” driver.

Florida, like many states, does have a Keep Left law, where the left lane should be for overtaking only, and slower drivers must yield to faster traffic.

The Sportage overtakes the Atlas and brake checks the other driver not once, not twice, but three times in under a minute.

Each time the Sporage signals he’s done road raging, he speeds up again and brake checks…yet again.

“Sheesh, I get being annoyed by left lane campers, but that’s just straight up psychotic. Get in front of them and move on. Stop endangering other people because you’re mad,” the top comment from /u/NeighborhoodVirtual4 reads.

“Smart keeping your distance….if they cause an accident you won’t be part of it, but can provide video proof to the authorities,” /u/Quirky_Routine_90 added.

“That’s full-blown road rage. At that point, calling the state police is justified,” /u/EagleScout1984 suggested.

In Florida, Brake Checking is a form of aggressive and reckless driving; violators are subject to a fine of up to $500, up to 90 days in jail, and/or both.

It’s never this serious.

If you don’t like left lane campers, either get in front of them and move on or do your best to avoid them if they start retaliating in a road rage-y way.
