A Tesla Model 3 driver showed how bad a driver they were with a no-look lane change over multiple lanes.

Lowell commuter and Redditor /u/Bunp101926 shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier this week (Apr 16, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a driver in a Tesla Model 3 attempting to make multiple, consecutive lane changes, one after the other, without looking and resulting in broadsiding another vehicle at speed.

The incident happened on the Lowell Connector in Lowell, Mass as cars negotiated the exits towards 1A (U.S. 3 towards Boston,) 1B (495 N towards Lawrence,) and Exit 2 B A (495 South and U.S. 3 towards Worcester and Nashua NH) (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As OP’s rear dashcam footage shows, OP is merging onto the Lowell Connector from the Reiss and Industrial Ave roundabout.

In his rear, you can see a driver in a Tesla Model 3, likely realizing they’re in the wrong exit lane, attempting to make two lane changes at once to make it onto the exit onto U.S. 3 South towards Boston.

Instead of changing lanes the right way, the Tesla driver does no-look lane changes, likely relying on his car’s sensors to warn him of any impending collisions.

Not doing their due diligence and changing lanes correctly, which involves looking… with your eyes, the Tesla driver ends up broadsiding and forcing a driver in a black Toyota Corolla into a freeway barrier.

We don’t see the extent of the damage, but it sounds expensive.

The Corolla’s whole passenger side is likely scraped badly.

“That’s an idiot, alright. Don’t Teslas have like 15 cameras to prevent this from happening? Or, you know, look over your shoulder?,” the top comment from /u/HobbesNJ reads.

“Why can’t people just calm the f*** down? Now they both have to involve insurance, go to the body shop, get a rental, hope the shop can get parts etc…. just to save 30 seconds? Fuck I hate people,” /u/not_like_this_ added.

“Tesla driver with limo tint. Stay faaaaar away from them,” /u/bmxracers warned.

Being an actual driver and paying attention would’ve prevented this.

Basic driving skills seem to be too much to ask for some Tesla drivers.
