D***head in a Mercedes driving like a *erkoff.
Philly commuter and Redditor /u/Brother-Many shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in May (May 12, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a driver in a Mercedes GLC Coupe SUV acting like a total menace (to the surprise of no one) choosing to cut off OP mid-lane change in an ever decreasing gap.
Check out their dashcam video embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened on I-95 in Philadelphia just before Exit 25 onto Allegheny Ave and Castor Ave (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As OP’s dashcam footage shows, he’s driving, minding his own business in the slow lane of I-95.
OP then decides to change lanes, which he begins to do.
Suddenly, mid-lane change, a d***head driver in a Mercedes GLC coupe comes flying past, squeezing between OP and a Toyota Tundra in the other lane.
His plates are visible, MMC 1466.

Catching OP off guard and forcing him back into his original lane, OP almost loses control but doesn’t, quickly regaining his composure as the offending driver speeds off.
“Typical Coupe SUV behavior, “it’s a “sports” car,” the top comment from /u/Franndly reads.
“It won’t be long before he hurts someone. That car will roll very easily, it just has not happened yet,” /u/the_black_sails adds.
“That’s Philly for ya,” local EsseXPlorer concurs.
In Pennsylvania, I can see how this falls under careless driving and not necessarily reckless, a violation which carries a $250 fine before all the fees and 3 points on your record.
