Being an idiot and an entitled driver is the only logical explanation why this driver on Sepulveda blocked this Tesla owner from changing lanes 4 times.

SoCal commuter and Redditor /u/VLM52 is slightly confused about what went down after sharing Tesla dashcam footage from earlier this week (May 26, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a driver in an Audi wagon actively block him from changing lanes 4 times in the span of just 10 seconds.

Check out this Audi idiot’s nonsensical weaving back and forth below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened in Manhattan Beach off Sepulveda Blvd near the intersection with Marine Ave (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As his dashcam footage shows, OP is casually cruising down Sepulveda Blvd towards the aforementioned intersection.

Up ahead, a driver in an Audi Wagon can be seen.

Prior to this, OP had no previous interaction with the driver that would’ve set him off.

“Literally nothing happened prior to this,” OP clarified in the comments. “The first time they pop up on video is the first time I saw them, too. I was driving at a normal speed.

We see OP change to the leftmost lane, and so does the Audi driver.

OK, OP changes back to the center lane, and, you guessed it, the Audi driver blocks him again.

OP tries to out-juke the Audi driver, again, with a quick shimmy, doing the exact same lane changes in succession, but the Audi driver is having none of it.

I guess the Audi driver “won” because he successfully blocked OP from getting in front of him, which, I suppose, was the whole point of his lane change buffoonery.

“When he stopped at the light, you should have switched to the left lane. Then paced him when the light changed,” the top comment from /u/5926134 reads.

“PIT Maneuver all the way,” /u/lordkappy humoursly suggested.

“Just some power trip? Someone’s going to report them as a dangerous driver one of these days,” /u/RoyallyOakie wondered.

In California, failure to yield to a vehicle that is lawfully attempting to change lanes can result in a citation under the California Vehicle Code (CVC)—most commonly: CVC 21658(a) – Unsafe Lane Change

“A vehicle shall be driven as nearly as practical entirely within a single lane and shall not be moved from the lane until such movement can be made with reasonable safety.”

Violators get a base fine of $35 before all the fees which, when all said and done, is typically around $230.
