To top it all off, they completed their turn in front of OP like it was no big deal.
DuPage County commuter and Redditor /u/PilotZing shared headshaking dashcam footage from Westmont from earlier last week (Aug 8, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a plain old bad driver running a red light, making a left turn, and almost causing a head-on collision with OP.

The incident happened at the intersection of E Ogden Ave and Pasquinelli Dr in Westmont (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP approaches the aforementioned intersection and crosses the limit line just as his light turns yellow.
That means anyone turning left has a red light.
A driver in a silver Nissan Rogue can be seen turning against a red light with a collision course set for OP.
Thankfully, OP’s paying attention and brakes hard, coming to a stop and avoiding what would’ve been a hard and costly accident.
And of course, she completes her turn because why not?
” She made no reaction at all…. Muted for excessive amount of yelling. But locked up the wheels pretty good,” OP commented.

In Illinois, an improper turn like this is subject to a fine of about $150 before all the fees and 10 points on your driving record.
