This driver in a Hummer H3 had a clear, unobstructed view of 12th St. and had no excuse to pull a harebrained maneuver.

Larmier County driver and Redditor /u/seamus205 shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in August (Aug 11, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a Hummer driver bolting out onto 12th St. without yielding properly and almost causing a collision.

Check out the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the intersection of 12th St. and Magnolia (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP approaches the aforementioned intersection at the speed limit.

We can see a driver in a beige Hummer H3 pull up, with a stop sign, and, without yielding, cut OP off, causing OP to emergency brake to avoid a collision.

If OP didn’t stop like he did, he would’ve broadsided the Hummer, easily, resulting in one large insurance headache, presuming both have insurance and neither was seriously injured.

‘I don’t understand how some people manage to have a license. But perhaps they don’t,” the top comment from /u/TheW83 reads.

“It’s not always so clear what stop signs mean, though,” /u/Pretty-Geologist-437 sarcastically added.

“I wonder if-“

“Yep,” /u/ComputerMaster added.

You’ll have to pause the video to see what they mean.

“Ft. Collins! I hate driving in that city. It is always like that, especially on College, and the closer you get to Old Town. Otherwise lovely city!,” local /u/TheDodoBird commented.

In Fort Collins, Colorado, the fine for failing to yield at a stop sign is $100. This violation is classified as a traffic infraction under Colorado Revised Statutes (CRS) § 42-4-703, which mandates that drivers must yield the right-of-way at intersections and crosswalks. Failing to do so can result in a civil fine and points on your driving record.
