Stolen truck? Other commenters think so.
‘Zona resident and Redditor /u/Square_Barracude_69 shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in August (Aug 29, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a reckless driver in a Chevrolet Silverado wrecking his truck even further after busting an illegal U-turn before hopping over a concrete curbed divider.

The incident happened on W Glendale Ave before it intersects with Loop 101 (AZ State Route 101) (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is stopped, ready to merge onto the Loop 101 from W Glendale Ave.
In the dashcam’s rearview POV, on the left, you can see a driver in a single-cab Chevrolet Silverado drive by.
We then later see that Silverado reappears as it’s busted an illegal U-turn.
The Silverado driver then hops over the raised concrete curbed divider at speed, further wrecking his Silverado’s frame and rear bumper, as it comes down hard, before speeding off.
A driver in a dump truck slows to avoid contacting the unhinged driver.
“Pretty sure the elevation models don’t come with the skid plates sir,” a humorous top comment from /u/OhWhatATravisty reads.
“That was such a Phoenix guy move,” local /u/loquedijoella added.
“Stolen? Video cut out early … I’m guessing he ran right through that red too,” /u/_jump_yossarian likely accurately predicted.
An illegal U-turn like that in Arizona, based on the Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS) 28-752, usually nets a driver a $179 fine before all the fees and 2 points on their record.
