A case of convenient cop
Osceola County driver and Redditor /u/C-Jiggy shared a dashcam video from earlier in September (Sept 10, 2025) to the /r/ConvenientCop subreddit showing an impatient driver instantly getting their comeuppance after they tried to pull a fast one on this residential street.
The only thing they didn’t account for, as if anyone who does this does, was a cop right at the front.

The incident happened on a residential street, Settlers Trail, just before the intersection with Red Bird Ave, at around 7:31 in the morning on a Wednesday (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows and as clarified by OP, this area has at least one school straight ahead, making this a prime area for morning traffic to build up.
Regardless, drivers must follow the rules of the road, and that means honoring the stop sign.
We see a driver in a black Chevrolet Tahoe try to cut in front and turn by going against traffic, over a double solid yellow line, too.
Unfortunately for them, they didn’t account for a cop in the line of waiting cars who saw the whole thing.
With such a blatant disregard for the rules of the road, we see that cop put on their reds and blues as they begin to pull the Tahoe driver over.
“Also, didn’t come to a complete stop. Double a**hole” the top comment from /u/AliGreen13sCPSworker reads.
“You can bet his a** he didn’t get off with just a warning,” /u/LIfe_Without_Lennon added.
“I love that for him,” /u/Kaablooie42 threw in.
In Florida, crossing a double solid yellow line to cut into oncoming traffic—such as in a residential area to bypass a line of cars waiting to turn left—is a traffic violation. This maneuver is prohibited under Florida Statute 316.0875, which generally restricts crossing double yellow lines unless necessary to avoid an obstruction
Violators can expect a base fine of $158 before all the fees and three points on their record.
