Intending to cut in front of what he thought was just a slow driver, he almost plowed through a pedestrian, too.
Philadelphia driver and Redditor /u/fxryker shared headshaking dashcam footage from downtown Philly from earlier in September (Sept 28, 2025) showing the insane moment an impatient driver brute forced his way through a gore point to cut off a driver who was slowing down for a pedestrian.
Check out the dashcam video embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened where N 24th ST. merges from Spring Garden St. (exact location on Google Maps linked here and posted below.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is driving along Spring Garden St. when he enters the slip road towards N 24th St.
A pedestrian with the right of way appears on the left, whereas OP does the right thing and yields.
Perhaps not seeing the pedestrian, a driver in a blue Jeep Compass (plate MB 1526) appears on OP’s left, driving through the marked-off gore point to cut OP off.

In doing so, the insane Jeep Compass driver almost plows into the pedestrian, too.
Total time saved? A couple of seconds.
“Unhinged behavior. Could have killed that lady,” the top comment from /u/BunchesOfCrunches reads.
“If it wasn’t for you, they may have killed the pedestrian. This is insane. Try to report this,” /u/Most-Road-5366 suggested.
“Sometimes I’ll be waiting to turn right on a red light because cars are coming from the other direction, and the car behind me will just cut right in front of me to make the turn. Like why can’t people trust that maybe, just maybe, the car in front of them has better visibility than they do?,” /u/Snarkasm_0228 recounted.
In Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia, driving through a downtown gore point clearly marked with signs or road markings indicating no entry or lane change, and disregarding these instructions, is citeable under §3111.1, and violators are subject to a base fine of $150 before all the fees and 3 points on their record.
