On top of his plain ol’ bad driving, he had the gall to cut off a pedestrian who was just trying to cross the street.
Montgomery County commuter and Redditor /u/Somebody_throw_a_pie shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier last week (Oct 27, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a plain ol’ bad driver brute forcing his way into a turn lane, almost causing a collision.
And, when stopped, instead of perhaps giving a friendly wave acknowledging his colossal driving mistake, the driver had the gall to confront OP, climbing out of his car to shout some expletives in a fit of road rage.
Check out the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
[oc] No turn signal x 2, unnecessarily cuts me off, gets out of his car like he’s a victim, blasts by a kid trying to cross the street. Real winner

The incident happened at the intersection of Layhill and Bel Pre Rd (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is lined up behind traffic, getting ready to turn from MD-182 onto Bel Pre Rd.
Suddenly, a driver in a black Kia Hatch in the lane going straight starts to encroach into his lane, no signaling whatsoever.
They almost collide, OP slamming on his brakes to avoid a collision.
OP concedes his right of way to the soon-to-be road rager.
It doesn’t end there, as, after saving a whole microsecond, cutting OP off and with everyone still waiting to turn, the driver pops out of his Kia to shout something back at OP.
You can make out the swear words, mainly something-hole.
But wait, there’s more.
Instead of yielding to a kid trying to cross when he actually makes his turn, he nearly runs the pedestrian over, not to mention not turning into the rightmost lane to begin with.
Just a bitter, awful driver.

“Don’t you know he has the perpetual right of way for whatever he wants to do? How can you be so inconsiderate!,” the top comment from /u/HobbesNJ reads.
“So many people drive with an entitlement mindset. They think their turn signal grants them the right of way, and that people need to let them in. They don’t understand yielding, and are convinced that it’s ok to force people with the right of way to slow down to avoid hitting them because “it’s not a big deal, they need to be more patient,” /u/appa-ate-momo added.
“You have to share the road with him, not the other way around, duh! /s,” /u/FLOUNDER6228 added sarcastically.
In Maryland, forcing your way into a turn lane without signaling is considered an improper lane change, which carries about a $90 fine and 1 point on your license if no accident occurs (Maryland Transportation Code §21-309 & Maryland District Court Fine Schedule PDF). If the move causes a crash or is deemed aggressive driving, penalties can increase to $110–$370 and up to 5 points (MVA Point System).
