This dashcam owner says she overreacted, but it happens every day.

Northvale area driver and Redditor /u/Cyndi_Gibs shared frustrating dashcam footage from this ShopRite shopping center showing the daily occurrence of drivers almost getting into head-on collisions with her, all because they want to enter a clearly marked exit-only driveway.

Here’s the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the ShopRite shopping center in the 200 Block of Livingston St. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is exiting this aforementioned ShopRite shopping center when he comes bumper to bumper with a driver in a white Ford EcoSport entering said shopping center using an exit-only driveway.

Below is the other driver’s POV as they entered. There are two “Do Not Enter” signs.

” This is a one-way!” OP shouts to herself as the driver, despite being in the wrong, proceeds forward.

OP’s exclamation doesn’t end there, adding choice, but understandable expletives.

“You can tell in your voice this dumb s*** happens every day lol,” the top comment from /u/Kadehead reads.

“Nah, pretty normal reaction to some dumbass driving the wrong way and not giving a s***. If I had time to waste, blocking them would be hilarious. But in all honesty, they’d have to back out into the road, and it would be dangerous for the innocent people not involved with their s***headness. I think you made the right call,” /u/SimplBiscuit concurred.

“I was like… this is either Jersey or Long Island. I wasn’t wrong – both have terribly designed stroads, and both have dips*** and/or entitled drivers aplenty,” local /u/OneHotProcessor added.

Entering an “exit‑only” driveway in New Jersey can result in a traffic violation, usually treated as entering a roadway at a non‑designated spot. This typically carries 2 points on your license and a fine around $85 before all the fees, though it can be higher in certain zones. (njticketattorneys.com)
