If you drive through North Walton Blvd. & NW 12th/Tiger Blvd. often, watch out for these red light-running bozos.
Bentonville-area driver and Redditor /u/endurable-bookcase-8 shared headshaking dashcam footage from this busy N. Walton Blvd. intersection from earlier last week (Dec 11, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a driver going through with a super-late red light run after at least one driver already ran the red right in front of them.
Check out the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened at the intersection of NW 12th/ Tiger Blvd. and Walton Blvd. (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam footage shows, OP is stopped on Tiger, waiting to turn left onto Walton.
Just as their light turns green, cars perpendicular to them are still in the middle of their turn, which means they entered the intersection on a red light.

Unfortuntaly, it’s behavior that defensive drivers have come to expect, drivers sneaking in even though they’re technically running the red.
Drivers about to enter the intersection with the right-of-way all take a collective pause before proceeding.
Suddenly, right when everyone’s about to go, this hare-brained driver in a silver Chevrolet Volt appears and has the nerve to enter the intersection a good five seconds after getting a red.
To avoid a t-bone, everyone stops, again, to allow the red light runner to escape unscathed.
“This happens so much around me. One day, I was in a work van and had enough. Instead of slamming on my brakes, I slowed down just enough that they gouged the entire side of their car, & I just needed a new bumper. Dashcam didn’t lie, and I bet they won’t do that again,” the top comment from /u/norf937 reads.
Apparently, somebody pulled this while my husband was on his lunch break, except that the little car in front was a cop. He said it was extremely satisfying,” /u/oranges13 added.
“I may be part of the problem but, I love being first at a light so I can fake launch and jump scare violators,” /u/MastrOvNon humoursly shared.
In Arkansas (including Bentonville), running a red light is a moving violation that generally adds 3 points to your driving record and can result in a fine of up to about $100, before all the fees, for a first offense (higher with repeats or local court costs). It’s classified as a misdemeanor and may also carry possible jail time for repeat offenses, though exact fines vary by local court. (www.drivinglaws.org)
