Driver in Hyundai Palisade makes left turn without yielding and almost causes a multi-vehicle accident.
Tucson-area driver and Redditor /u/Alarmed_Age6894 shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier last week (Dec 15, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a driver making a left turn across Valencia without a hint of yielding and almost causing a multi-vehicle accident in the process.
Check out their dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened along the 2000-3000 block of E Valencia Rd. in Tucson (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is driving along E Valencia Rd. when he approaches a T-intersection of sorts with drivers exiting the Valencia Techpark.
A driver in a black Hyundai Palisade can be seen turning left out of the Techpark and onto Valencia.
Presumably, OP assumes the Palisade driver will pause and won’t make the unhinged move of brute forcing his way onto Valencia without properly yielding as he approaches.
Of course, the worst-case scenario plays out, and the Palisade driver continues, without a hint of yielding, forcing his way into OP’s direction of travel.
OP emergency brakes at the last possible second to avoid a collision, which he does.
A driver in a truck following OP, seen in the rear-view footage, also brakes hard to avoid rear-ending OP.
The Palisade owner continues oblivious and unaware of the mayhem they caused behind them.
It’s worth noting that OP commented that he only has 6,600 miles on his car, practically brand-new.
“Some of these people truly think they’re the only ones on the road. Either that or they have main character syndrome and assume everyone will just stop for them,” one of the top comments from /u/NeighborhoodVirtual4 reads.
“They knew you would stop. You have to. That crazy motherf***er knew any sane person would avoid the collision,” /u/lives4b**bs added.
“The amount of people who just count on others not wanting to wreck their s*** it’s wild,” /u/HowDoMermaidsF*** threw in.
In Tucson/Arizona, a failure‑to‑yield or failure to obey a yield sign ticket is usually cited around $225 in fines (before all the fees and varies by court) as a civil traffic violation. Conviction typically adds 2 points to your Arizona driving record, though more points (4–6) apply if the failure to yield causes serious injury or death. (asdb.mohavecourts.az.gov)
