This woman casually drove onto the sidewalk and continued forward, like this is what people do.

Boulder-area driver and Redditor /u/Jaguarzk shared some truly unhinged dashcam footage from earlier in December (Dec 19, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing some crazy lady in her Toyota not knowing how to navigate area roads like a normal person, instead opting to drive onto a sidewalk instead.

Check out the whole shebang as seen by OP with his own two eyes below with the orignal Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the entrance of a sidewalk at the corner of Baseline Rd. and 27th Way (Exact location linked here and posted below.)

Here’s where the lady drove onto the sidewalk.

OP can be seen on dashcam on 27th Way waiting for his turn to go.

Suddenly, a lady driver in her blue Toyota Highlander from the 36 offramp on the otherside, who was supposed to either go straight past OP on his left or turn left onto Baseline, is now headed straight for OP.

Confusing the pedestrian entrance to a sidewalk for the actual road, the confused driver casually drives up onto the sidewalk and continues on down the path.

When she realized the massive mistake she made, your guess is as good as mine, but likely she found it real quick.

At least one commenter thinks she wasn’t that crazy but did this on purpose.

“WT*?? There’s no way that can be written off as an accident. They 100% knew what they were doing, and I bet it’s all to save 30 seconds of driving around a block,” said /u/Ferro_Giconi

“no ABSOLUTELY😭😭😭,” OP concurred.

“I’ve seen this happen twice where the bike path passes near two different parking lots,” /u/RamblingSimian shared.

In Colorado, if you’re cited for a traffic violation related to accidentally driving onto a sidewalk (often treated as failure to yield or other traffic infraction), you can face a fine (often around $100 or more plus court costs) and points on your driving record if convicted under the state’s point system.

For example, many moving violations (like failing to yield) carry 3–4 points, and accumulating 12 points in 12 months (for adults 21+) can lead to a license suspension. (City of Evans)

Note: exact fine and point amounts depend on the specific charge the officer files (e.g., failure to yield vs. careless driving).
