This early morning commuter was apparently peeved that this dashcam owner had the nerve to come to a complete stop at a stop sign.

Chester County commuter and Redditor /u/Tribow8 shared perplexing dashcam footage from earlier last week (Dec 31, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a fellow early morning driver opting to blow past OP, into oncoming, albeit absent, opposing traffic, all because they followed a stop sign direction and came to a complete stop.

Check out the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at a stop sign at the intersection of S Main St. and Hunsberger Rd. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is driving along S Main St at 5 in the morning.

As she approaches the aforementioned intersection, she slows, signals right, and comes to a complete stop.

Apparently, a driver in a red Hyundai Hatchback following OP was upset that another driver would follow a stop sign.

Instead of following OP’s lead and slowing, too, they signal left to go around OP, opting to go into possible oncoming traffic instead.

“OK. Well, then,” OP says to herself before giving a small chuckle.

Thankfully, there was no opposing traffic, and the Hyundai driver pulled off their illegal overtake without further incident.

“I knew a girl in high school who died because her bf zoomed through a stop sign like that. It ain’t worth it, folks,” /u/Choice_Tour_1714 somberly recalled.

“A deer is going to go right through the windshield at that speed,” /u/SevroAuSh**talker estimated.

“Exactly the reaction I’d have had. Let them go be a menace elsewhere, particularly not near anyone,” /u/StackThePads33 added.

In Pennsylvania, running a red light is typically a summary offense carrying a fine of $100–$500 and 3 points on your driving record. Habitual or more serious violations can increase fines and penalties (Pennsylvania Department of Transportation: PennDOT).
