A heated exchange was caught on dashcam as a driver in an Audi SUV cut off another driver in a Chevrolet Silverado as both exited the Allen Costco gas station.

Allen-area driver and Redditor /u/Nazopo shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in February (Feb 22, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing two drivers, who both just exited this Allen Costco gas station, going after each other in a heated exchange.

Check out the dashcam footage below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the Costco Gas station off of Highway 121 near the intersection with 149 and Stacy Rd (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is parked in a spot facing the exit of this Costco gas station.

At this location, like many other Costco gas stations, drivers exiting have the option to go to the left or right side to exit towards whichever lane they want.

Rules of the road dictate that drivers cannot and should not attempt to make a left turn from the right lane, but that’s what happens here.

For some reason, perhaps stemming from a previous dispute at the pumps, a driver in a black Audi SUV can be seen turning left from a right turn lane, overtaking another driver in a Silverado, and stopping in front of them, risking their own t-bone accident.

The Audi driver gets out of her SUV to confront the Ford F-150 driver before going back to her vehicle and driving off.

“What is it about Costco and Trader Joe’s parking lots that makes people go insane?” the top comment from /u/calargo asked.

“I’m always amazed how many people are willing to trash their cars in order to prove a point,” /u/rfkbr added.

“When two idiots collide. I hope insurance tells them both to get bent,” /u/portuguese-bacalhau hoped for.

Yes, in Allen, Texas, you can be cited for an unsafe maneuver in a private parking lot that’s open to traffic (like a shopping center) — e.g., an unsafe left turn from the right lane or stopping and blocking other cars.

Police can issue a moving violation ticket for unsafe turns or unsafe lane changes, which typically results in a fine (often roughly ~$200–$300 depending on local court costs) and 2 points on your Texas driving record (3 if it caused a crash), potentially raising insurance rates.

Accumulating points can lead to DPS surcharges and, in rare cases with many violations, license suspension. (wilcotx.gov)
