This goofball driver instinctively changed lanes without looking to avoid a slowing driver, only to almost sideswipe this dashcam owner.
Llano County-area driver and Redditor /u/TheFrenchMexican shared head-shaking dashcam footage from RM 1431 from earlier in August (Aug 10, 2026) showing what nearly happened when an impatient driver instinctively swung into his lane without so much as a signal, shoulder, or mirror check to see if their lane was open.

The incident happened in the 700 block of RM 1431 as he approached the bridge over the Lllano River (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is headed east on RM 1431.
As one commenter also pointed out, he is speeding, going 54 in a 35.
As he approaches the T-intersection with Harris Loop, a driver in a silver Chevrolet Cruze slows to turn into the Subway parking lot.
Another driver follows close behind in a Chevrolet Suburban, not wanting to wait, instinctively swings into OP’s lane without so much as a signal or glance over their shoulder.
They see OP, but it’s too late.
OP’s swing into the center turn lane at the same time a BMW is driving through it.
Thankfully, the BMW driver reacts in time, swerves to the right of the turn lane at the same time, and opens up a gap for OP to drive through.
OP threads the needle between the BMW and the Suburban, narrowly avoiding a sideswipe accident.
