It’s being reported that the Waze Beta team is sending out e-mails for prospective Beta testers to sign up.
If you’ve been hankering to use Waze and Android Auto together, for the longest time this was not a possibility. But according to some e-mails the Waze Beta team sent out to its members earlier today that might all change sooner rather than later. According to Android Police on their Waze posted earlier today (Apr. 4,2017) it looks like the Waze app will soon find a home on Android Auto thanks to an e-mail linking users to a google doc that allows you to sign up for testing. Since Android Auto hit the market numerous popular apps have been integrated into the system such as Pandora, I Heart media and even Skype. But one of the most requested apps was Waze. Google first made the announcement that they were adding Waze integration with Android Auto back in May of last year but only now have they started to gauge an interest for its app that’s in high demand. Most users of the app can attest to the ease and peace of mind the app brings to traversing through unknown territories or on their daily commute. Thanks to keen eyes and quick fingers (from their passengers of course) its accident and police avoiding benefits go a long way to either having a headache of a commute or one free of run-ins with construction or the police.
With the implementation of even stricter cell-phone laws in such states like California and AB1785 which made it a fine to even hold their cellphones for any reason, using the stand alone Waze app wasn’t even an option. But now, thanks to this latest “announcement” from Waze, that might all change.
