Despite denying claims that Faraday Future isn’t going to file for bankruptcy, new evidence keeps cropping up pointing to the contrary. According to The Truth About Cars on their report on the woes of this electric car startup earlier today (Nov 11, 2017) a Los Angeles based catering company is bringing Faraday Future to court over $100,000 of unpaid catering bills spread out over two events. This all comes on the heels of documents obtained by TMTPost pointing to a restructuring plan to raise more money and the accusatory statements made against their former CFO in an official press release from the company. Olorosso LLC a.k.a. Schaffer’s Genuine Foods looks to be a top-tier caterer that specializes in what they call “Premium event experiences.” If you’re aiming to make a good impression with potential investors and the general media, you’d better have the food to match your intentions.

Conveniently enough Schaffer lists Faraday Future as one of their case studies during their launch event at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this year.

We worked with Faraday to execute their vision for the launch of their new automotive/technology brand at CES in Las Vegas. The event began with a VIP reception for 200 guests followed by an additional reception for 1,200 members of the press, clients and brand enthusiasts.

Breach of contract is a relatively simple to understand. Both parties have obligations to fulfill. Simply put, Schaffer’s provided food and Faraday future failed to pay.

If Faraday Future can’t even properly pay its caterers, how deep do their problems really go?

According to our source in Faraday Future, their manufacturing facility is still completely empty (there’s literally no tooling meant to produce more than one FF91 in the near future.)
