If you were a Nissan Frontier and Titan shopper and wanted to spec out a Midnight Edition package like the rest of the lineup, you presumably had to order each option separately. Not anymore. According to Nissan on an official press release they dropped earlier today (Nov. 12,2017) they are expanding the Midnight edition package to Frontier, Titan, and Titan XD. In addition, they’ve released pricing on all nine available Midnight Edition packages. Check out a list of pricing below!

Nissan’s Midnight edition on Titan and Frontier
Midnight edition
For 2018, Nissan has expanded the Midnight Edition lineup to include Frontier, TITAN and TITAN XD models.

Each Midnight Edition is a little bit different and you can read up on each of the individual package details by referring to the press release but they’re all pretty much similar. Nissan says that, on average, Nissan buyers will save 45 percent overall compared to if you order parts separately.

Take for example the Sentra Midnight Edition. You get,

  • 17-inch black SV alloy wheels
  • Black splash guards
  • Black Cross Guards
  • Illuminated kick plates
  • Black Outside mirror caps,
  • Black front and rear fascia accents,
  • Black V-motion grille,
  • Black Roof rails,
  • Black license plate frame finishers,
  • and Black Rogue and SV rear emblems.

Seeing a theme here?

Seeing the press photos on Frontier and Titan in Midnight Edition, and I sort of understand the popularity of these blacked out packages. Compared to a stock Frontier, Titan (Or Sentra, Maxima) there’s just something inherently cool about an all-black package. Dare I say that the Midnight edition adds a premium feel to the OEM offering. The majority of car enthusiasts agree that chrome can be tacky, and deleting chrome by replacing it with black seems to be a popular move. Additionally, black goes with pretty much every color, so blacked out wheels are almost always a smart choice from an aesthetics point of view.

So there you have it. If you’re hankering for a blacked out theme on most any Nissan car, you can have your cake and eat it too. It’s probably up to you to find a good window tinter as you’ll probably want to black out the windows shortly after driving off the lot.
