When you’re driving a super rare Ferrari on a track, you’re going to want to be extra careful and take the time to learn the car’s limits. But if you’re like this owner, you’re going to learn that in the hardest way possible, wrecking.

If you’re a Ferrari(phile), you’re going to want to “pour one out” for this wrecked, extremely rare Ferrari FXX Evoluzione. According to Youtuber 19Bozzy92, while he was spectating what was presumably a Ferrari FXX only track session, he witnessed the rarest of the rare Ferrari FXX Evoluzione’s completely lose traction and slam into a trackside barrier. Check out the gutwrenching video below, it’s definitely not for the light of heart.

It was a combination of damp track conditions, cold tires, and a braking system that didn’t work as planned that claimed the bodywork on this rare Italian exotic. The Monza Circuit is characterized as being a high-speed track with long straights and only a handful of curves, naturally, home to high-powered exotics.

As per Bossy, it looks like even after a warmup lap, that itself wasn’t enough to get everything up to temps. The track itself is less than four miles long and the Ferrari’s V12 engine, not to mention all the ancillary systems, needs more than that to reach its maximum operating range.

It looks like the FXX Evoluzione driver didn’t brake in time, as soon as he slammed on the brakes, it was already too late. All four brakes locked up. With tires skidding, it was only a matter of time before physics did its job, carrying that tremendous amount of energy to its dismal end into a wall.

You can see the FXX Evoluzione being lifted onto a truck and given the tow of shame back to the paddock, front end smashed to smithereens.

The Ferrari Enzo is already a rare car in its own right. There were only 499 units of those made. Then, Ferrari released the Ferrari FXX, a more powerful Enzo, but only for the track. Only 38 FXX’s were ever made. Out of those 38, owners had a chance to upgrade their FXX’s with even more power and aerodynamics with lessons learned from FXX owner data and experiences. Only maybe one or two owners opted to upgrade from theirs. Final HP numbers hovered around 860 HP. Mamma mia!
