The big aftermarket guns out of Sealy, Texas already have three performance upgrade options for the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.

It’s just been a little over a month since Chevrolet unveiled their hottest iteration of the C7 Corvette, the mack daddy 755 HP ZR1, but Hennessey Performance didn’t think their customers would be satisfied with those performance numbers. According to Hennessey Performance’s official landing page for the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 as of today (Dec. 11, 2017), there are three packages for the new ZR1 that see marginal power jumps from 850 HP, 1,000 HP, and 1,200 HP.

The stock 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is an already capable machine on paper. The new LT5 engine and supercharger puts out a stout 755 HP and 715 lb-ft at a burly 4,400 RPM. That’s a 300 HP jump over a base Corvette.

If you step up to Hennessey Performance’s HPE850 Supercharged package, the biggest upgrades come from a new lower pulley and high flow cylinder heads along with all the supporting modifications and the requisite tune. Like the name says, this’ll be good for 850 HP and a blast to 60 MPH in 2.6 seconds with a 10.3 second quarter mile time.

One rung up is the HPE1000 kit which adds an upgraded High Flow supercharging system, custom HPE camshaft and ported cylinder heads. Final power numbers are an estimated 1,000 HP and 966 lb-ft. Now you can hit 60 MPH in 2.5 seconds and blaze down the quarter mile in 9.7 seconds.

Finally, the biggest package, the HPE1200, does some significant upgrades to the 6.2L LT5. First, the engine is upgraded to 7.0L with custom aluminum pistons and forged steel connecting rods. Like the HPE1000, you get a new supercharger, a custom HPE camshaft, ported cylinder heads etc. 0-60 MPH now just takes 2.2 seconds and the quarter-mile is done in 9.2 seconds.

All these packages are backed by Hennessey Performance’s one year/ 12,000-mile limited warranty.

Chevrolet performance is definitely Hennessey Performance’s bag and there will be customer’s chomping at the bit to upgrade their ZR1’s straight out of the dealerships.

I’ll be curious to see what these upgraded ZR1’s do in real life on the track our out on the street. One thing’s for sure, it’ll definitely be a riot to experience.
