Honda officially announced pricing for all its trim levels for the Honda Civic Sedan and Coupe. In addition, they also confirmed that a 2019 Honda Civic Si and much awaited Honda Civic Type R.
The Honda Civic lineup for 2019 is looking super strong thanks to an updated new look for its coupe and sedan along with the addition of a new Sport trim. And now, as per Honda in an official press release they dropped earlier today (Sept. 24,2018) Honda announced that updates are coming to the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback, Si, and Type R, all requiring their own press releases. Mark me excited!
Some quick maths with sedan and coupe prices and you’ll see that most trim levels MSRP’s got more expensive by about $500. But, these new prices might actually be a bit cheaper than last year thanks to Honda Sensing being standard on ALL trim levels, even the now cheapest sub $20,000 Honda Civic LX Sedan with 2.0L and 6MT at $19,450.
As mentioned in their earlier press release teasing the mid-cycle refresh for 2019, outside, Civic sedan loses its chrome front wing and trades it in for a blacked out one. Same thing goes for the coupe. The lower part of both sedan and coupe’s bumper is restyled to look wider. LED Headlights on Touring trim civics are also tuned for a wider and longer beam. Civic also receives three new colors: Platinum White Pearl, Molten Lava Pearl (Sedan only), and Tonic Yellow Pearl (Coupe only).
There are key improvements inside on all trim levels, too. There’s are new, more intuitive steering wheel controls, a BIGGER center console cupholder, and sound levels are presumably improved thanks to more sound insulation in the floor, trunk, front, and rear fenders.

Honda is touting its Sport trim and all you need to know is outside you get foglights, wheels, badging, a decklid spoiler and chrome exhaust finisher. Inside, you get red gauges, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum pedals, different seat materials, and more speakers over LX.
Getting its entire Civic lineup for an almost semi-autonomous cruise control experience, Honda Sensing is now standard on all TRIM levels. That includes,
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow, Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™) incorporating Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) and Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) incorporating Lane Departure Warning (LDW). Additionally, all Honda Civic models receive automatic high beams as part of their Honda Sensing® package.
The important bit mentioned in the title is updates for Hatchback, Civic Si, and Type R that have yet to be announced!
The 2019 Civic launch will continue later this year with the Civic Si Coupe and Sedan, Civic Hatchback and Civic Type R. Details concerning the rest of the 2019 Civic lineup will be announced at a later date.
I mentioned earlier last week how Honda was testing two possible variants for the Type R. Now, we’ll know what exactly Honda has up its sleeves, soon enough.
