This is the first look the public has of the 2020 Toyota Supra before it’s supposed to debut at the Detroit Auto Show.

The cat’s out of the bag if you want the first unofficial look of the Toyota Supra before Toyota themselves want you to see it, here’s the front end in on its glory. Details are scant at the moment as to how, who, and why someone got this photo but who cares. As per MKVSupra.com earlier today (Dec. 12, 2018) the 2020 Toyota Supra was caught without its camo being loaded (or unloaded) off a carrier.

The final looks of the Toyota Supra seemed to be the world’s worst kept secret with the Toyota Supra flaunted in front of a camera with camo for months on end. But honestly, stripped of its camo and in one single color, it looks strikingly good with a clear evolution from the MKIV Supra, most notably in those headlights.

Here’s the MKV Supra with full racing livery and a widebody for comparison.

So far we know that that this Supra is getting a similar engine found in the Z4 M40i with that one rated at 382 HP and 369 lb-ft with the Toyota Supra’s coming in a tad less powerful then what the Z4 gets. The aftermarket will make sure to unlock the full power of that straight six. Power is routed through a ZF eight-speed automatic, no manual at this time.

The base model Supra is getting a 2.0T four-cylinder good for around 262 HP.

The interior will share many of the same touchpoints and overall layout as the BMW Z4.

I really wish someone would leak the side profile and rear because so far, I like what I see.

Well done Toyota. Hopefully, this prods Toyota to reveal the full product sooner rather than later.
