Yes, this Maryland edition Honda Civic is real and it may or may not still be for sale.

You’ve heard of the Ford Mustang California Edition, and their are even some cars named after states like the Chevrolet Colorado but have you heard about the Honda Civic Maryland edition? Probably not because there’s only one. According to a sponsored post that’s popped up on Facebook from time to time, apparently, there’s a 2018 Honda Civic Maryland edition being sold by Shockley Honda with a wrap job inspired by Maryland’s very own state flag and chock full of over $7,000 in accessories. Check out photos and even a video of this one-of-a-kind Civic below!

As per the dealership, final retail price on this Maryland Edition Honda Civic comes out to $33,824. If you were wondering, MSRP on a Civic Sport Touring Hatchback is $28,750.

Accessories aside the obvious feature of this car is the decal job showcasing Maryland pride on the sides, hood, roof, and rear. As far as state flags are concerned Maryland’s is certainly one of the prettiest featuring a Coat of Arms honoring the first Lord Baltimore with a history that goes back hundreds of years. On a flag pole I’m sure most Marylanders are quite proud of its attractive and eye-catching design but on a car is a different matter altogether.

Perhaps if you’re a city council member in one of Maryland’s many cities, this Civic Maryland edition might catch an elected official’s eye. Or maybe local Maryland police would like to adopt this decal design for their own city vehicles, Civics aside, but other than that, you’d have to REALLY love your state to lay down this much money for this particular hot hatch.

At least it’s a Sport Touring Civic with the second most powerful Civic Turbo engine so it’s got that going for it.

Looking up this particular Civic if it’s still for sale, I might have some bad news for you as, according to this listing which still has “Maryland Edition” in the description, the photos show a stock Civic Sport Touring Hatch so perhaps they’ve taken off the decals at this point. If you were really hankering for those awesome decals, I’m sure if you asked around in Shockley Honda they can point you to the decal shop they used.
