Both the next-gen Acura MDX and TLX leaked thanks to an RDX infotainment center spilling the tea before its official reveal.

Leaving official renderings of next-gen vehicles in another one of your vehicles, you’re either not thinking that one through or you’re begging for someone to leak them. According to @rdx.god earlier today on Acurazine via Car and Driver this is probably what the next generation Acura MDX and TLX will look like.

In addition to the renderings, some exclusive interior details and vehicle suspension modes also made the cut.

First, there’s the 2020/2021 Acura TLX. It sounds cliche but this next-gen is a natural progression of the TLX proportions and design language Acura introduced with its precision concept.

This new TLX looks quite chiseled and sharper. There’s a sharp line that runs from the fender to the rear door, adding some definition to the side profile.

Up front, the headlights are much narrower with the current headlight look’s rounded corners lopped off.

Outback, the rear tail lights are now in line with the redesigned ILX.

What you see in the next-gen TLX, the sharper design language carries over to the MDX as well.

As mentioned, in addition to the “leaked” renderings, there’s a whole host of driving modes, some of them new including Lift, Normal, Personal, Slippery, Sport+, Snow, and Sport.

Taking a cue from a sharper design language, the interior also gets an upgrade with what looks like a bit more bolstered interior seats now with powered shoulder and headrests.

There is one engine shot and it looks to be the same J-series engine already in the current MDX and TLX. We already know that Acura has a new V6 with forced induction in the works so perhaps this is just a placeholder engine rendering?

I like what I see here and, if these are really production ready renderings, these new looks will be winners in my book for both TLX and MDX in the flesh and running around on city streets.

Do you think these renderings are the real deal? Let me know in the comments below.
