It’s simple, really. Donate to the cause and you you might get a dope ride-along with a world class drifter.

San Francisco-based drifter is showing the world how the motor sports community can use their resources for good. According to Drift Team Animal Style Member, Palmer Sanderson, on an Instgram post shared earlier yesterday (June 2, 2020) he’s offering a ride along in his 1JZ-powered BMW M3 drift car if you show proof you donated to the Black Lives Matter Movement or an organization that supports protesters. After he made the announcement, drifters from across the United States and around the world volunteered a seat.

There is no stipulation on how large the donation should be.

Drift rides for donations! These are some of the coolest drift cars on the planet with some of the best drivers around. We raised almost $700 since we started last night. We’re also looking for sponsors to match our donations. How it works: you donate to BLM, NAACP, protest support, bail fund or, charity. You DM me the receipt and I will put you on a list receive a ridealong ticket. If you don’t know where to donate we can point you. If you don’t know how we can take venmo/paypal and do it for you. We have drivers willing all over the world, and the list is growing. Don’t see someone want a ride from? I can reach out and ask or you can tag them. Full list is on my previous post I will be updating it there.

As his post expounds upon, even if you’re not in the Northern California area there are drifters from around the world already signing up offering their time, cars, and skills to give you a taste of how exciting a full-on drift run can be.

There are drifters around the United States including Utah, Nevada, Indiana, Chicago, New Jersey, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. And it extends beyond our country with volunteer drivers from Canada, New Zealand, and Australia joining in.

Palmer Sanderson even has pro-drifter Matt Fields in the mix, too!

According to Sanderson,

How it works: you donate to BLM, NAACP, protest support, bail fund or, charity. You DM me the receipt and I will put you on a list receive a ridealong ticket. If you don’t know where to donate we can point you. If you don’t know how we can take venmo/paypal and do it for you.

We have drivers willing all over the world, and the list is growing. Don’t see someone want a ride from? I can reach out and ask or you can tag them.

Getting a drift car ready with fresh tires, fuel, and double-checking all the safety equipment on a drifter’s budget takes a bit of time and money so some cooperation between both parties is needed.

If you haven’t been on a ride-along, it’s the next best thing in the world of drifting to driving. The power, noise, and sheer physics of it all is an experience you won’t soon forget.

We must not forget why these drifters are offering a ride-along, it’s too support a Black Lives Matter movement and to move forward the cause. Even if there are no drifters near you that are volunteering, feel empowered to donate, anyway. It doesn’t even need to be money.

You can even watch this free-youtube video, let the video do its thing, and support that way.

At the very least, these drifters should inspire us to think outside the box. How can I help in my own way?
