Your vehicle shutting off on you with no one to help you is can be super stressful. Thankfully, this Baltimore police officer was there to lend a helping hand.

Having your vehicle break down on you with no tools of your own at hand can ruin your entire weekend. So when Baltimore, Maryland biker Tabitha Kirksey, who goes by Sassie Untamed Legendz MC on Facebook, had her Yamaha motorcycle break down on her in the middle of a ride, she was left flustered and open to any help that came hier way. Thankfully, Baltimore Police Officer Scott Steven showed up in the nick of time, diagnosed her issue because he’s also a motorcyclist, and sent her on her merry way.

Check out his gallery of photos documenting his encounter below.

While the city of Baltimore is still under a Safer At Home order, safely social distancing with a group on your motorcycles is typically not frowned upon and a safe and acceptable activity during this uncertain time.

I’m sure this is one of the first ride’s Tabitha’s had this year so, any excuse to leave the house and meet up with a group of fellow riders is always a welcome occasion.

So it must’ve been frustrating to be riding along and have your motorcycle shut off on you. As Officer Scott Steven correctly diagnosed, a bad ground is a prime suspect when a bike (or any vehicle) loses power. A ground is a major part of a vehicle’s charging system and, without it, anything electrical can go haywire or act intermittently, disabling your engine if it’s a vital component acting up like a fuel pump.

Since Tabitha’s post’s been up, it’s been shared close to 60,000 times with over 140 comments and counting.

I don’t have to spell out how important these stories are, highlighting the good over the bad when it comes to local police.

Police’s principal job is to protect life and property through the enforcement of laws and through good community policing. Officer Scott Stevens did just that, helping a constituent when they needed it the most.

And props to Tabitha for not seeing anything wrong sharing these photos and her experience.
