The remaining six Wekfest events are cancelled and a tentative lineup for 2021 is already on the website.

Wekfest organizers announced earlier yesterday (Aug 7,2020) the remaining Wekest events for 2020 are cancelled due to Covid-19. Wekfest organizers will be contacting Wekfest confirmed registrations for Wekfest Seattle and San Jose with further details.

For those who already registered for Wekfest Seattle and San Jose, if you don’t request a refund, your registration fees will carryover for 2021.

If you do want a refund, there’s a special form, linked here (found at the bottom of the page.), that you must submit before Sept 1.

Whether or not you submit a request for a refund, if you’re registered to show at either event, you don’t have to re-apply next year.

  • April 2021 – Chicago, IL
  • May 2021 – Nagoya, JP
  • June 2021 – Seattle, WA
  • July 2021 – San Jose, CA
  • August 2021 – Los Angeles, CA / Edison, NJ

It wasn’t a matter of if, but when. While it’s sad car shows of this magnitude are cancelled for 2020, our love for cars and gathering responsibly doesn’t have to end.

If you want to scratch your car show itch, ask around and there are Cars and Coffee events happening every week, small cruises among friends, and low-key meets at popular hangouts.

Mask up, keep your circle small, socially distance, and I don’t see why you can’t enjoy car culture for the rest of the year.

Also, as one commenter said, “No one…. absolutely no one can make any excuses now about bringing your half a** build with knock offs.”
