An Air Force airman from Florida taking his Altima made in Tennessee and wringing it on the Nürburgring is peak Big Altima Energy.

Air Force Officer Jacob Munro may have posted the best post on the Big Altima Energy Facebook group when he shared photos of his $1,000 Nissan Altima carving it up with the best of them on Germany’s famed Nürburgring.

Check out a screenshot of his post below.

Munro’s caption reads,

Took my Th**-Rod on the Nürburgring so I feel it belongs here. Next time I’ll crash into a barrier for YouTube while drinking a pumpkin spice latte

As further proof, Munro posted a screenshot of RaceTracker.De’s photo gallery from Sept 30, 2022, the day he took his Altima for a spin.

Reading through Munro’s comments on his post, Munro is United States Air Force officer stationed at the Spangdahlem Air Force Base, a 50-minute drive from the famed track.

“I bought it over here (Germany) from another military member for $1,000,” Munro says. “It (the Altima) has over 195,000 miles and I still daily it.”

Although the Nürburgring is one serious track, for 25 Euros (or $25 as of this blog post #StrongDollar,) practically anyone driving anything with four wheels can take one lap of the 12.8 mile circuit, which is exactly what Munro did.

As Munro says, this Altima is no Spring chicken.

” If you look really close, you can see the entire bumper is a different shade of white, and you can’t hear the struts clunking with a picture”

Munro’s no stranger to the ‘Ring. Out of all the cars he’s driven there, his favorite, his personal banner photo, a turbocharged Silverado.

Despite the car’s humble origins, the track day photos and the “absurdity” of it all made it one of the best posts on the group.

Big Altima Energy even made it their official banner photo.

So far the post’s garnered over 680 comments and 1200 shares, the comments mostly giving props to Munro’s Altima feat.

“Imagine being in a track prepped 911 and one of these blow by you,” Larry Alms replied.

“I bet the CVT loved that,” Cody Clark wittily added.

“Finally, the Europeans got to experience the Helltima,” Pablo Gonzalez commented. “I bet Porsche drivers s*** their pants.”

If you’re at all on the fence on if you should take a lap of the Nürburgring, keep this Altima in mind.

If you’ve got 25 Euros and an afternoon to spare in Deutschland, the Nurbugring’s calling.
