This driver in a Buick Regal ran a stop sign and then flipped off a dashcam owner.

Missourian and Redditor /u/Hot_Independent_1683 shared head-shaking dashcam footage from Florissant from the end of July (July 21, 2024) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a driver in a Buick Regal run a stop sign and then proceed to flip OP off.

Check out /u/Hot_Independent_1683‘s dashcam video below.

The incident happened in Florissant near the intersection of St. Catherine St. and Saddle Dr. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As OP’s video shows, they’re driving along St. Catherine St. when they come to a T-intersection with Saddle Dr.

A driver in a Buick Regal approaches the stop sign opposite to OP and, instead of stopping, drives right through,

OP’s disabled audio but presumably they honk, which gets the attention of the driver in the Regal.

The stop sign runner sees the dashcam owner and, instead of a conciliatory wave recognizing their stop sign running ways, she flips them off with the middle finger visible in the video footage.

In Missouri, running a stop sign resulting in no injuries, death, and/or destruction of property is a Class C misdemeanor subject to a fine of up to $100

Stop signs, believe it or not, serve a purpose, mainly to control the flow of traffic at an intersection.

Running stop signs like this increases the likelihood of an accident with a car and pedestrians.

It looks like this Regal driver makes a habit of approaching this intersection and blasting right through it.

If she doesn’t change her dangerous habits, it’s statistically not a matter of if but when, unfortunately.

Hopefully, she’s observed running a stop sign and is ticked accordingly.
