Dashcam owner captures a driver in a Nissan Altima running this red light at W Tennessee St. and Caliark St, almost rear-ending a delivery van at 40+ MPH.
Floridian and Redditor /u/farthead1027 posted dashcam footage to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit from earlier this October (Oct 4, 2024) from this Tallahassee intersection showing a reckless Altima driver wantonly running this intersection several seconds after the light turned red.
Check out his dashcam footage below.

The incident happened at the intersection of W Tennessee St. and Caliark St (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As his dashcam footage shows, OP stops on W Tennessee St before the intersection with Caliark St.
Suddenly, despite the light turning red for several seconds, a driver in a Nissan Altima has no intentions of stopping and blitzes by the red light a good two seconds later.
The Altima comes within feet of rear-ending a U-Haul rental driver in a Ford Transit.
After everything’s settled, traffic resumes normal operation.
OP commented that he was concerned about the welfare of the scooter rider on the sidewalk.
“Bro, I almost missed it (the e-scooter rider) because I was watching the e-scooter to make sure he didn’t suddenly go out into the road.”
“You got a 2-for-1 on this one,” /u/steady_as_a_rock humorously commented.
“It’s always a Nissan,” /u/ChemicalRecreation added.
If you’re unfamiliar with what /u/ChemicalRecreation refers to, I’ve written an explainer linked here.
Running a red light in Florida is subject to a $158 fine before all the fees.
That happens allll over Tallahassee, I’m skeptical about goin even when the light turns green. Cause drivers still be trying to go even after their light has turnt red. It’s ridiculously unsafe.
