A driver in a Nissan Altima and Mini Cooper play a dangerous game of cutting each other off after the Altima driver became upset at the initial, legal overtake.
Ohioan and Redditor /u/MrSpiffy1979 shared headshaking dashcam footage from Columbus from earlier in December (Dec 4, 2024) showing drivers in a Nissan Altima and Mini Cooper get into it with each other in a road rage showdown after both merge back into traffic following an ambulance passing them both.
Check out the dashcam footage below.

The incident happened along the 700 and 800 blocks of E Main St in Columbus (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As OP’s dashcam footage shows, an ambulance passes through traffic on E Main St.
Most cars pull to the right but at least one driver in a Mini Cooper pulls into the center turn lane to let the ambulance by.
Once the ambulance passes, the driver in a dark gray Altima punches it in a move that looks an awful lot like someone trying to follow an ambulance.
In front of the Altima and before the Altima can pass, the driver in the Mini Cooper merges, too.
The Altima, almost colliding with the Cooper, honks at the Mini, upset at the near collision and unable to merge like they wanted.
The driver in the Altima drives into the center turn land and partially into oncoming traffic to throw what looks like a can at the Mini Cooper before cutting the Cooper.
Not to be one-upped, the driver in the Mini, also going against traffic at one point, gives it the beans and pulls ahead of the Altima.
The Altima driver tries to swerve and overtake the Mini Cooper but the Cooper is too fast and nimble, blocking the Altima’s attempt.
Finally, both pull up at the next intersection, and a passenger in the Altima comes out to confront the Mini driver.
“My kids are in the car,” we can hear the lady shout.
“Watch where you’re going, n***a!”
In one final attempt at revenge, the driver in the Altima chucks a water bottle at and misses the top of the hood of the Mini Cooper.
The Cooper goes straight while the Altima turns right.
“Racing/cutting off after pulling over for an ambulance might be my biggest pet peeve on the roads. Scum,” /u/ScottKollig commented.
“”When stupid, meets dumb” to end up at the same red light 1/2 a mile away. A classic love story,” /u/DebianDog hilariously pointed out.
“”My kids are in the car,” says the person swerving into oncoming traffic…,” /u/GreyThicV added, pointing out the hypocrisy of it all.
Road Rage at this low level in Ohio is arguably classified as disorderly conduct and a minor misdemeanor and violators are subject to a fine of up to $150.
