This road raging Mercedes driver went over the top, getting out of his vehicle to confront a dashcam owner despite not having the right to way to begin with.

Wakefield commuter and Redditor /u/leonm85 shared head-shaking dashcam footage from earlier last week (Mar 8, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing an impatient Mercedes driver blow through an uncontrolled intersection only to get out of his vehicle to road rage at OP, the dashcam owner, for supposedly trying to block his turn, nary a honk, too.

Check out their dashcam footage and original Reddit thread embedded below.

[OC] Cut me off then cuss me out… makes sense!

The incident happened at the intersection of Main St. and Richardson Ave in Wakefield (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As OP’s dashcam footage shows, she’s travelling on Main St. when she approaches the intersection with Richardson Ave.

Our driver in question in their GLK 350 (License Plate 16071) can be seen turning right onto Richardson out of a parking lot and, to avoid yielding to traffic going straight, just booking it, making another right turn onto Main in one fell swoop.

Driving forward, OP doesn’t even honk. She just lets out the slightest reaction from inside her vehicle.

“Hello?”

“Why are you flipping me off? You just f***ing cut in front of me,” she wonders to herself as she comes to a stop behind the road raging Mercedes driver.

We then see the Mercedes driver double down on their move by getting out of his vehicle to confront OP.

“It would f***ing kill you to me me in, wouldn’t it?” he shouts at her.

“What a piece of s***,” she replies to herself.

A passenger with her reminds her that you never know who has a gun.

At an uncontrolled intersection (one without traffic lights or stop signs), the general right-of-way rule is, first and foremost, traffic going straight has the right of way over turning vehicles.

“Yup, a piece of s***. You didn’t even honk at him for cutting you off. That was a disproportionate amount of rage from him,” the top comment from /u/lionmll read.

“It’s insane how many people are so entitled and think that their roadway decisions shouldn’t follow the literal rules of the road. People like this actually scare me. I feel like they’re unbalanced, since they’re so easily triggered to confrontation and potential violence,” /u/Xinra68 added.

“The Mercedes pulled straight out of a parking lot and continued through their turn without so much as blinking. I think he was racing to be first to the intersection ahead of OP, and to avoid having to stop and wait for pedestrians that were approaching from both sides. It looks like the pedestrian to his right stepped out into the street behind him, outside the crosswalk, because he just ripped straight through the intersection,” /u/FreebooterFox pointed out.

In Massachusetts, failure to yield the right of way is punishable by a fine of $35 before fees.
