This semi truck driver blew through this Humble, TX intersection several seconds after their light turned red.
Humble, TX commuter and Redditor /u/SSQuire shared some seriously headshaking dashcam footage from earlier last week (Apr 18, 2025) showing a semi truck driver towing a dump trailer blow through an intersection a good five seconds after their light turned red.
Check out the egregious and dangerous traffic maneuver worthy of suspending their CDL license embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened at the intersection of Farm to Market 1960 and Aldine Westfield Rd E (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As their dashcam footage shows, OP is stopped at the aforementioned intersection waiting for their light to turn green.
The sad part is, probably by experience, OP and the truck next to them pause for several seconds even after their light turns green.
OP didn’t even see the semi coming.
” (My) head (is) on a swivel around here when first at stoplights, but the cam vid is not representative of my view. You can hear me hit the brakes in the video audio as soon as the red truck next to me brakes. Didn’t even see the semi before I was stopping with the dodge blocking the view.”
And just when they’re about to go, a driver in a blue semi truck towing a dump trailer blows through the intersection at full speed.
I counted five seconds from after OP’s light turned green so that semi had a red for at least five seconds and likely even longer.
Hauling a serious amount of weight and energy, any poor driver who might’ve been hit would’ve totalled their vehicle, 100 percent, not to mention a high chance of injury or worse.
Thankfully, other drivers had the presence of mind to pause and look for red light runners, such as that idiot semi driver.
“I don’t even understand. The sheer lack of giving a crap about pulling a move that would be 100% fatal to anyone he hit. That’s some next-level callousness. Very, very disturbing,” the top comment from /u/j4ckstraw reads.
“Holy f***, I would’ve chased after them to get the truck’s license plate. 16 people died from a hockey team bus hitting a semi that pulled out in front of them near where I live,” /u/KTMan77 added.
For those curious, this is the incident they were referencing, an unfortunate tragedy in Canada.
“Hope that driver loses their CDL. Trying to kill someone out there,” /u/Andrey2790 justifiably commented.
This type of red light running is arguably reckless.
