Idiot finds out driving on the wrong side of the road might cause a head-on collision.
Las Vegas driver and Redditor /u/UselessEthan shared headhshaking dashcam footage from the parking lot of this Trader Joe’s from earlier in May (May 10, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing an idiot not paying attention, driving on the wrong side of the road, almost crash head-on into OP, simply because they weren’t paying attention.

The incident happened in a private parking lot of this TJ’s off Washington Ave. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As OP’s footage shows, he reverses out of a spot and continues towards W Washington Ave.
Up ahead we can see a driver in a black Ford F-150 turn right towards OP.
Instead of continuing on the right side of the road like a normal person, they swing into the middle, almost all the way left.
OP and the driver thankfully come to a stop before colliding into each other head-on, avoiding what would’ve been one big insurance headache.
The driver, who looks like an elderly man, doesn’t even give a small wave to apologize for his near miss before continuing on his way.
““Oh f***! There’s a car on the road! Wtf!?” … at least he stopped in time,” the top comment from /u/SlimeMyButt reads.
“Ugh that’s how people get run over. Idiots like him are why parking lots are so damn dangerous,” /u/MrMaesToso replied.
“I fully admit when I moved back from Japan to the States I had to relearn what side of the road to drive on. Continually reminding myself the driver side was on the left side of the car and so on. Not saying this is what happened… But this was my fear!,” /u/FlyingNDreams admitted.
Regardless of whether this dude just finished a stint in Japan, knowing what side of the road to drive on or just plain paying attention is 100 percent on you.
Even though we’re only going slowly in parking lots, with the number of people crossing and traffic, a normal day can turn into a true nightmare if you’re not paying attention.
