An idiot driver with disabled plates failed to yield properly, almost causing their own roundabout, T-Bone accident.

San Diego driver and Redditor /u/Im_Not_Smart shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier last week (June 9, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing an idiot driver barreling through a roundabout without yielding for traffic already in the circle, almost causing their own T-Bone collision.

Check out the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at a roundabout on Redwood St next to the Balboa Park Golf Course as drivers approached from Pershing Dr. and 28th St (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam footage and Google Maps bird-eye view show, while this is a slightly more complicated, back-to-back roundabout design, it’s not particularly hard since it’s a single lane one.

With single-laners, rules are quite simple: yield for traffic already in the circle before entering.

This lady in a Nissan Rogue either doesn’t know how roundabouts work or has blinders on because, although OP is clearly in the middle of the roundabout as they approach each other, she disregards his vehicle’s presence and barrels on through, almost causing her own T-bone accident.

OP brakes hard to avoid a collision, barely.

“Lady didn’t even flinch when I laid on the horn.”

The oblivious woman in her Rogue can be seen driving off, not a single f*** given.

“We just had roundabouts installed downtown, and my favorite is when someone is in a huge truck on the right floor it, so they can cut you off, and nearly tip over trying to make the curve. It’s caused so many accidents, it’s hilarious,” the top comment from /u/MaiKulou reads.

“From the conversation, it sounds like it’s a normal occurrence there. Assuming this is the USA, 99.8% of people don’t know how a roundabout works,” /u/InternationalYak9747 added.

“It’s so freaking simple. YIELD to incoming traffic to get into the circle. Once you are inside the circle, you have the right of way. If that is too hard for people to understand, then maybe they shouldn’t be driving,” /u/Fubeman commented.

In California, failure to yield is a moving violation subject to a $238 fine before all the fees and one point on your record.
