Overlaid with “Nothing beats a Jet2 Holiday,” the hare-brained move went viral on TikTok.
Presumed Greensboro native and TikTok’er @ShawnAHTW shared headshaking security cam footage to TikTok from earlier this Sept (Sept 4, 2025) showing the hare-brained moment this driver in a Hyundai made a right turn across 4 lanes from the far left lane, causing their own t-bone and multi-car accident.

The incident happened on the one-way Friendly Ave that intersects with N Mendenhall St (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the overhead shot shows, this is a fairly busy intersection.
We can see a driver in a dark-colored Hyundai Sonata paused at the intersection despite having a green light.
Instead of heading straight, they signal right?
Yup, it looks like they’re attempting a right across 1, 2, 3, 4 lanes in one fell swoop.
The Sonata driver commits to their hare-brained right without properly yielding (like that was ever an option) and causes a driver in a Chevrolet Tahoe towing a utility trailer and a Nissan Rogue in the next lane to emergency brake.
It’s too little too late for either, as, despite their best braking efforts, both collide with the right turner.
The Tahoe does the brunt of the damage, t-boning the Sonata, hard.
Thankfully, it looks like the collision wasn’t too too serious, as I’d be surprised to hear if any driver or passenger suffered injuries as a result.
Regardless, it was a dumb move by the Sonata driver. Period.
“I turn now! Good luck, everybody else!” the top comment from @MoshMob reads.
“People got way too much pride. If I miss my turn, I just circle the block. It’s not worth wrecking my car over,” @CMeeezy added.
“And they do illegal stuff soo slow… like why would you cross several lanes at a snail’s pace?!?,” @HelloTroubleAux noticed.
If someone in Greensboro, NC makes an improper right turn from the far left lane and causes a multi-car accident, they’re likely to be cited under North Carolina’s “unsafe movement” or “improper lane change/turn” laws.
An improper lane change/ unsafe turn causing a crash is subject to a fine of approximately $1,000, two points on your record, not to mention a fat increase in your car insurance (by up to 45% by some estimates.)
