The road rager was found not to have a license, insurance, or current tags. Not that it mattered, as Denver Police reportedly never showed up.

Downtown Denver driver and Redditor /u/FlyFlyMisterPowers shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in October (Oct 25, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a road rager rear-ending another innocent driver shortly after throwing their coffee drink at another driver, a totally separate on-the-road encounter.

Check out the dashcam of the chaos that ensued below, with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the intersection of Welton/Galapago and US-40 (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is stopped at the aforementioned intersection.

Apparently, this driver in a Dodge Journey in the left lane got into some kind of on-the-road altercation with the driver in the Honda CR-V as both their windows are down, them jawing at each other.

The situation took a turn for the worse when the Journey driver threw his coffee at the CR-V driver, but not before spilling a lot of it into their own car.

Road Rager throws coffee at the other driver.

In response, the CR-V driver chucks water at them, although it’s not as dastardly and sticky as coffee.

As karma would have it, the Journey driver, not paying attention, slams into the back of another driver in a red SUV.

It gets worse.

“So the Dodge Journey driver didn’t have her seat belt on and hit her head on the steering wheel (airbags didn’t deploy). Seemed fine at first, but then said she was dizzy and started throwing up.”

Classic concussion.

On top of that, as the title says, she didn’t have insurance, current tags, or insurance (because why would they? #sarcasm.)

While the other driver can clean up their car with a damp rag, that can’t be said for the driver the road rager slammed into.

They will likely have an insurance headache on their hands, although thankfully, they have OP’s dashcam vid to help their claim out.

“Was there for probably an hour and a half waiting for Denver PD to show (never did.)”

All in all, one cluster you-know-what of a situation.

Best practices are to never engage with road ragers, however inflammatory they may become.

And if you don’t already have one, a dashcam these days is a must.

In Denver, rear-ending a car due to road rage is usually charged as careless driving, carrying a fine up to $300 and 4 points on your license. If injuries occur, penalties increase, including higher fines, potential jail time, and the same 4 points added to your driving record.
