After tailgating another driver & brake-checking, and almost running this driver off the road, this insane old man hopped out to confront this dashcam owner.
Tehama County Commuter and Redditor /u/AwwYissm shared insane dashcam footage from earlier at the end of October (Oct 30, 2025) to the /r/Dashcam subreddit showing this insane driver on I-5, who was in such a rush, that he resorted to tailgating, brake checking, and overall reckless driving just to ultimatly let road rage take over him to confront this dashcam owner.
Check out the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
[Vantrue N4] old man thinks he owns the road

The incident mostly happened on I-5 as these two drivers made their way into Red Bluff (Exact route on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is headed southbound on I-5.
In front of him is a driver in a beige 2001 GMC Sierra K2500 Heavy Duty who apparently was tailgating another driver for no good reason.

OP sees an oppurtunity to get around this driver which, as he’s passing him, the driver in the GMC Sierra threatens to run him off the road…twice.
This is evidenced by his entire truck swinging wildly towards OP as he passes.
The driver in the GMC Sierra passes OP again, with both of them now headed towards Exit 651 onto Main St. in Red Bluff.
“I was literally just on my way home from work and this old man was riding the *ss of the person in front of him, then brake checked me for no reason, tried to run me off the road twice, almost swerved into oncoming traffic…,” OP clarified.
It doesn’t end there, as both of them happened to come up to Main and Union, the driver in the GMC Sierra hops out and runs towards OP in a show of intimidation.
Not wanting to take it further, OP dips, leaving the old man fuming in his road rage.
“Usually, I skip long dashcam shares, but this song had me vibing. Crazy old man,” the top comment from /u/Psychosomatic_Addict reads
“… he cuts you off without using a turn signal, nearly causing a collision and forcing you to make evasive maneuvers… but he’s mad at you about it. Then he petulantly sticks his a** back in front of you and is angry that you have the audacity to be heading in the same direction as him… I genuinely don’t understand his mindset at all,” /u/reptillianappeal added.
“Props to you OP, for remaining calm and having the reaction time and wisdom to back away from the deranged man running at your vehicle. I think I’d be in shock processing as he got out and ran at me, and wouldn’t have had the forethought to avoid the literal crazy man.”
In California, “road rage” isn’t a specific offense but can be charged as reckless driving or under Vehicle Code §13210, which allows a license suspension of up to six months for a first offense. Fines can reach $1,000 and include up to 90 days in jail if charged as reckless driving.
