This road rager decided to chuck what looks like a can of soup at the driver’s windshield over the dashcam owner’s failure to yield.

SoCal driver and Redditor /u/GigitygigityDank shared shocking dashcam footage from Beach Blvd from earlier in August (Aug 11, 2025) to the /r/ConvenientCop subreddit showing a driver, upset at OP’s earlier failure to yield, resorting to the destruction of OP’s property, his windshield, in one wild road rage incident.

As the title and subreddit hint at, he got a healthy dose of instant karma.

Check out the dashcam footage below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The initial incident happened as OP exited this parking garage in the 17000 block of Ash Lane (exact location linked here) and carried over to the Heil Ave and Beach Blvd intersection.

As the dashcam shows, OP exits this parking garage off Ash Ave rather abruptly with a driver in a Toyota Camry on his rear bumper.

It looks an awful lot like OP failed to yield the right of way and turn into traffic correctly.

OP turns left onto Beach Blvd/ State Route 39 and is overtaken and cut off by the driver in the Camry.

When they get to the aforementioned intersection, it’s when it takes a turn for the worse.

A passenger exits the vehicle, shouts something at OP, then proceeds to chuck a can of what looks an awful lot like Chef Boyardee at OP’s windshield, cracking and damaging it.

Unbeknownst to OP and the road rager, a security officer in a cruiser saw the whole thing and pulled the road rager over, OP included.

“I was exiting the parking structure when another driver began tailgating me and honking as I turned right, making sure it was safe because of oncoming traffic. I think they were having a bad day or night. He received a private person’s arrest, and I’m currently waiting to get my windshield replaced.

It’s implied by OP’s comment and clarified by other Redditors that the person in the cruiser marked POLICE was not a Huntington Beach Police Officer but some kind of private security.

Cam car was in the wrong initially, but other than driving like an unobservant/self absorbed prick who doesn’t pay attention to traffic to safely pull out onto a street, did nothing wrong, one of the top comments from /u/Logical_dogs560 reads.

“After that, everything wrong was the other car. Driving erratically, littering, intimidation, damage to property, impeding traffic, etc. They should have just flipped off the cam car, maybe flashed their high beams to let the cam car know he’s an idiot, and went about their day. Maybe shared their own footage of an idiot behind the wheel. But instead, their ego got the better of them and they went full brainless moron. Satisfying a cop saw it instead of filing a report after the fact.”

In California, under Penal Code § 594 (vandalism), if someone maliciously damages another’s vehicle and the damage is under $400, it’s a misdemeanor punishable by up to 1 year in county jail and a fine of up to $1,000. (Kann Law Office) If the damage is $400 or more, it becomes a “wobbler” offense—eligible to be charged as a misdemeanor or a felony—with possible fines up to $10,000 (or more in extreme cases) and up to 3 years in prison.
