Driver on Mollision treated this intersection like it was a four-way stop when they had an obligation to come to a stop and wait at the light.

Oswego County driver and Redditor /u/PokeCaptain shared headshaking late-night dashcam footage from earlier in November (Nov 14, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing an impatient driver on Mollison St. treating this intersection like a four-way stop despite having a red light.

Check out the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the intersection of Mollison St. and Great Lakes Seaway Trail (exact location on Google Maps linked here).

As the dashcam shows, OP is driving along Seaway Trail around the speed limit of 40 MPH late at night, around 10 PM.

About 100 feet from the aforementioned intersection, they notice a driver from Mollision approach the limit line and, instead of stopping, since they have a red, they treat it like a stop sign and “California Roll” it (yield).

“What the f*** was that?” we can hear OP exclaim.

Here’s what it looked like from the other driver’s POV.

Mollison St. before the Seaway Trail intersection.

Thankfully, no other cars were near this red light runner, so no one was roped into his shenanigans.

In Oswego, New York, running a red light adds 3 DMV points to your driving record. The fine for a first offense is typically up to $225, with higher amounts for repeat offenses, plus a state-mandated surcharge. Camera tickets and officer-issued tickets follow similar rules, though exact amounts can vary by location (NYS DMV).
